Description

Legacy Personnel Solutions is looking for a Maintenance Technician who has experience working in the manufacturing sector for our client in Windsor.

ABILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 years or more experience working in a maintenance role in the manufacturing sector.
  • Must have a Class G Driver’s License and clean driver’s record
  • Standing and walking for long periods of time up to 8 hours/day. Occasionally climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling and crawling (40%)
  • Carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 35-50 pounds
  • Must work on ladders and use medium and heavy hand tools. Must have fine finger dexterity
  • Ability use common, electrical and tolerance measuring devices and equipment
  • Good organizational and work planning skills
  • Strong communication and intrapersonal skills
  • Must be able to work in a Team Environment and individually
  • Disciplined, problem-solver, logical thinking, troubleshooting team player with a strong work ethic
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to prioritize and report to several managers when maintenance is required
  • Proficient at reading, writing, and speaking English

Responsibilities
  • Perform facilities related maintenance tasks including but not limited to repairs upgrades, painting, drywall and facility up keep, and installations as required
  • Perform and assist in documentation for equipment related work, PM schedules, spare parts list, etc.
  • Perform inventory and organization of equipment and facilities related spare parts.
  • Communicating accurately, concisely, and professionally with shift supervisor/lead and management teams as to important repair steps taken, parts ordered, and time estimated until completion
  • Responsible for contacting and working with external contractors when needed
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a safe manner and follow safety protocols including, but not limited to, Lock Out/Tag Out programs, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned
