The WMS (Warehouse Management System) Analyst is responsible for identifying areas of opportunity for operational, process, and systemic improvements. The WMS Specialist will be responsible for the operation of the Manhattan Associates WM product with enterprise-wide supply chain & retail solutions. This will include leveraging the Manhattan Associates WMS solution to support documented business processes.

  • Provides direct tier 1 support to Warehouse Operations for WM, including on call support (first line).
  • Works to improve productivity and service by optimizing the utilization of people, system process, and automation for the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all Warehouse Management System questions, issues, and bugs.
  • Generates and maintains distribution center labor reports and communicates implications to management.
  • Creates iMacros and Auto Hot Key automation scripts to record and replay repetitious work.
  • Utilize SQL queries to extract and present information from Database.
  • Utilize Oracle database and SQL to research issues and make updates as directed.
  • Responsible for final approval of System Development Notification’s (SDN’s) before promotion to production environment.
  • Conducts complete and thorough analysis of data as it will be used in making key organizational decisions.
  • Works with the IT department to understand the WM database and its contents.
  • Documents inefficiencies in existing processes recommending specific ways for change while gaining efficiencies and streamlining processes.
  • Assists Warehouse Operations in WMS configuration changes, optimize and maintain WMS functionality and processes along with training.
  • Works closely with Warehouse Management Vendor and Manager of WM to execute WM Modifications to configuration, including design, testing, and implementation.
  • Works to effectively develop and deliver communication regarding process related changes to affected departments within the organization.
  • Assists in creating the functional flows for each operational department.
  • Tests configuration and software changes and assists in moving the changes from one environment to another.
  • Creates project plans and executes according to objectives, specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Continuously researches defects and end user issues to provide detailed data to IT or Manhattan venfors for final resolution.
  • Responsible for 4-wall QA testing and validation for all implementations and changes.
  • Additional duties and projects as required.

Required Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or 2 – 4 years’ experience providing production support to warehouse management systems, testing, configuration and new system implementation, preferably with Manhattan WM.
Required Computer and/or Technical Skills
Should have intermediate knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Access, Excel, and other Microsoft Office or Google Suite equivalents, as well as a working understanding of functions and relationships of information in Manhattan warehouse management system. Experience with SQL is strongly preferred.
