Job Title: Weekend Front Desk Coordinator                              Effective Date:    12/13/2024 Reports to: Day Center Program Manager                                       Pay Range: $30.05- 36.53 Status:  ☒ Part-Time FLSA: ☐ Exempt ☒ Non-Exempt   Job Summary:  This position is a key member of the Chief Seattle Club Day Center and is the first point of contact for anyone entering the Day Center.  Essential Responsibilities: This position will manage and monitor the front lobby and front door, direct members, visitors, and staff to the appropriate locations. Check in members, enroll new members and collect various documents. The employee will answer phone calls, send emails, and communicate with staff through Microsoft Teams while managing mail, check ins and various requests. This position will also interact with members during events and will attend all staff and any other applicable meetings and trainings.  Skills & Competencies: * Excellent communication skills, face to face and over the phone. * Ability to manage stressful situations effectively with de-escalation. * Strong computer skills, with experience working in Clarity/HMIS, Excel, SharePoint and Microsoft Office. * Culturally competent with an understanding of trauma informed care, secondhand trauma, generational trauma, internalized racism, colorism and how these effect the Native community and our members. Physical Requirements:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: work at a stationary work space for long periods of time, with mobility to move throughout the Day Center; use a PC, constantly reaching with hands and fingers and keyboarding extensively; work within Microsoft Teams as frequent communication is required, including use of the telephone; be able to read and write documents in hard and electronic copy, including those requiring great attention to detail; have the physical strength and agility to handle routine office tasks and machinery. Must be able to manage high stress situations while also keeping front lobby foot traffic moving.  Work Environment: This position is in a busy front facing Day Center that serves a wide range of members. The Front Desk is the first point of contact for members, visitors and staff and requires excellent communication and multi-tasking. The employee will use desktop business equipment and manage frequent telephone calls while also monitoring security cameras and the front doorbell for entry. Noise level is moderate. Frequent interruptions are common, while under deadlines and time constraints.  Most positions at CSC are exposed to members of the community who have experienced or are experiencing trauma in various forms including but not limited to: domestic violence, sexual violence, homelessness, unemployment, financial hardship, etc. As a result, staff are at risk of secondary trauma. Employees are encouraged to seek external support and maintain self-care when working indirectly or directly with clients. Mental health care referrals for employees are available.
