The Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu nomination and appointment process is being undertaken to appoint four Ngāi Tahu representatives to the Whenua Hou Komiti.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Have an interest in co-management of Whenua Hou.
• Be prepared to work with the other members of the Komiti.
• Ability to work within the framework of the Reserves Act.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Ability to resolve potential conflicts of interest.
• Ability to communicate.
• Have a whakapapa connection to Whenua Hou.
• Be a registered member to Papatipu Rūnaka o Murihiku.

The purpose of this role is to represent the Ngāi Tahu perspective to the Whenua Hou Komiti ensuring that any issues of tribal significance are reported to Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu while also ensuring that tribal matters of significance are represented to the Whenua Hou Komiti.
