PROJECT ADVISORS / MANAGERS (APS6, EL1)

We are looking for an experienced Project Advisors and Managers who are passionate about using their project expertise in delivering positive outcomes. You will have a track record in project support and management often going above and beyond and applying innovative thinking to managing projects with many competing priorities. You will be responsible for supporting and/or leading assigned projects for the development and maintenance of project plans, project schedules, and risk management plans. Importantly these roles ensure these project components align with other major Taskforce deliverables within their allocated responsibilities.

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT (APS5, APS6)

The STS Taskforce is currently seeking a dynamic and collaborative Executive Assistant (EA) who will support Senior Executive Service (SES) staff. The EA will work collaboratively with the team, supporting all aspects of the role and daily duties, ensuring that they are briefed, prepared and able to meet all their obligations and commitments. The EA provides administrative support, including liaison with senior internal and external stakeholders. To be successful in this role you will have previous experience and sound understanding in delivering reliable executive support to senior executives working within a fast-paced confidential environment. You will be organised, adaptable to change and possess the ability to prioritise, multi-task and display a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You will have the ability develop and maintain productive working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders and a sound knowledge of the role and functions of the agency.

USER RESEARCHER (APS6, EL1)

We are looking for User researchers at various levels who will be responsible for planning, designing and carry out research activities with stakeholders, users and customers to assist in developing a deep understanding of the processes, needs, opportunities and weakness within the Australian import and export systems. These positions provide essential foundations for the design strategy and inform preferred service models. Experience in developing project plans for federal government departments and coordinating inputs across relevant line areas would be beneficial.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This Temporary Register will remain open till June 2024 and will be updated where vacancies become available. These opportunities may be offered for up to 18 months, with the possibility of extension. Austrade is seeking an immediate start where possible. SIMPLIFIED TRADE SYSTEMS TASKFORCE: ROLES AVAILABLE -INFORMATION COMMUNICATION AND TECHNOLOGY (ICT), PROJECT MANAGEMENT, COMMUNICATIONS, REGULATION, BUSINESS ENGAGEMENT, POLICY, GOVERNANCE, EXECUTIVE SUPPORT, BUSINESS AND DATA ANALYSTS

The STS Taskforce is working with business and across all levels of government to deliver the most significant whole-of-government cross-border trade reforms in more than a decade. This includes working to make trade rules simpler and easier for businesses to comply with, digitising cross-border trade processes to be more efficient, enabled by modern ICT systems with improved data sharing, while strengthening border and biosecurity controls.
The work of the STS Taskforce supports the Government’s broader trade and digital agendas, including Trade2040. Our work will deliver regulatory, process and ICT systems reforms which will deliver value to both business and Government over the short, medium, and longer terms.
The Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) provides the STS Taskforce with corporate support, systems, and tools.
