REQUIREMENTS AND IDEAL PROFILE:

  • Previous experience in commercial insurance broking, preferably with SMEs.
  • Established exposure to the insurance or finance field is highly desirable.
  • Tier 1 RG146 qualification is highly desirable.
  • Experience with broking software (desirable)
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role, you’ll typically provide technical support and advice to the team, obtain insurance quotes, process policies, and facilitate placements.
Some of the things you will be involved in, but are not limited to are:

TYPICAL KEY DUTIES:

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of retail and wholesale insurance risks, focusing on driving profitable growth and delivering consistent, professional advice.
  • Collaborate with RAMs, clients, and members to gather underwriting information, and negotiate terms with underwriters.
  • Act as the advocate for RAMs, clients, and members in the claims settlement process, ensuring swift and favourable outcomes.
  • Play a key role in retaining existing business while contributing to new business activities.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration within the insurance market.
