The Accounting Manager is responsible for owning all aspects of finance activities including financial reporting, cash management, budgeting, cost variance analysis, day-to-day operations, payroll and stakeholder relations.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Perform month-end and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
  • Prepare annual budgets and perform cost variance analysis to budgets for management
  • Manage cash forecasts and prepare cashflow reports
  • Lead to complete annual audits and tax returns
  • Calculate monthly inter-company charges
  • Prepare and submit government filings including GST and PST
  • Oversee AR/AP and supervise Accounting clerk for day-to-day operations
  • Oversee payroll and timely submit payroll related filings including WCB, EHT, and T4
  • Review and improve finance processes and policies as required
  • Support preparing board meeting materials
  • Perform other related duties in keeping with the purpose and accountabilities of the job

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA designation preferred
  • 5+ years of related Accounting experience
  • 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Experience with SAP, Quickbooks, and/or Netsuite preferred, but not required
