Description:
Central Okanagan Public Schools (SchoolDistrictNo.23),Kelowna BC, provides education services to 22,000 students in the communities of Peachland, West Kelowna, Kelowna, Lake Country and the Regional District of Central Okanagan.
We invite applications for the position of:
Full-time Accounts Clerk - Operations
Thirty-five (35) hours per week, twelve (12) months of the year. Job #0605 - $27.96/hour
Under the supervision of the Director of Operations or designate, perform accounting duties as well as administrative/clerical duties and receptionist duties as assigned.
Applicants must have:
- completed Secondary School (Grade 12);
- successfully completed an Office Administration Program (6 month program), including relevant accounting courses, at a Community College;
- eighteen (18) months previous related accounting experience;
- knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite;
- knowledge and experience with Adobe Acrobat;
- a high quality of work including accuracy and dependability;
- good organizational skills;
- excellent interpersonal skills;
- a net typing speed of thirty-five (35) words per minute;
Applicants will be expected to:
- Utilize and be proficient with the District Sparkrock 365 software;
- Successfully complete the CIMS Web Financial School Accounting course and Admin Connect;
- Have knowledge and experience with bookkeeping, including successful completion of District bookkeeping exam.
- Successfully complete the required District’s Health & Safety training.
The following would be considered an asset:
- knowledge and experience of work order systems.
- knowledge and experience with other accounting programs
