An exciting opportunity is available for a Full or Part time Band 7 Advanced Mental Health Practitioner to join the newly developed Primary Mental Health Team (PMHT) 4 Youth based in Wokingham. The role is based at Wokingham Community Hospital, so attracts Higher Cost of Living Allowance.
The PMHT 4 Youth team provides assessments & short-term, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to young people in Wokingham with mild to moderate mental health needs. The service promotes the emotional wellbeing & mental health of young people in the community by offering advice, information & support to young people & families, & consultation & training to professionals, as appropriate.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of & contribute to a newly developed & innovative service. This is an important post at the interface with partner agencies & specialist CAMHS. The post has been informed and agreed in partnership with Wokingham Borough Council Children’s Services, who remain key partners in the development of the Primary Mental Health Team & the development of wider emotional health & wellbeing services for young people.
Operational management & clinical supervision will be provided within Berkshire Healthcare. The service is managed & delivered by BHFT CAMHS & is part of the Wokingham Borough Council Emotional Wellbeing Hub.
This role would suit an experienced Mental Health Practitioner or newly qualified Clinical Psychologist.
Clinical assessments for young people up to the age of 18 years, presenting with mild to moderate mental health problems.
Short-term, evidence-based therapeutic interventions (individual, group, family, as appropriate)
Consultations - offering advice, information and support to young people, families, and professionals.
Joint working with partner agencies, including Mental Health Support Teams, Early Help, Youth Offending Teams, other Child, and Adolescent Mental Health Services
Use of routine outcome measures to promote active participation from young people and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
