Airframe Structure Design Engineer

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

• Apply technical expertise to solve aircraft structural design challenges
• Develop airframe design solutions independently
• Coordinate efforts across various functional areas including:
• Quality Assurance
• Planning
• Tooling
• Structural Analysis
• Materials & Processes
• Flight Sciences
• Production Operations
• Flight Test
• Other engineering disciplines
• Design, develop, and test aircraft, missiles, and parts
• Consider efficient application of natural laws affecting flight
• Establish structural specifications
• Conduct stress analysis and performance testing

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Proficient in 3D Experience or CATIA V5/V6 (3DX)
• Experienced in airframe structure design
• Skilled in Model Based Definition
• Experienced in Full-Sized Determinant Assembly
• Competent in primary and secondary aircraft structure design
• Experienced in subsystem installation design
• Knowledgeable in GD&T
• Proficient in structural analysis for preliminary sizing

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree & 9+ years of related work experience is required
