Description:
ABOUT THE POSITION
This is a great opportunity to grow your career as an investment professional within a leading renewable energy company in the Asia-Pacific region. This exciting role comprises a combination of buy-side equity investment and project finance raising, to support Vena Energy’s growth and commercial objectives. You will be a member of a global team and occasionally be staffed on projects in other countries across the Asia-Pacific region.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree and strong GPA from a reputable university
SKILLS
Technical / Professional Skills:
- Intermediate to advanced abilities in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical abilities and problem-solving skills with a strong understanding of financial concepts
- Strong report writing skills
- Strong understanding of financial concepts
Good to have:
1.Experience with cash flow financial modelling
2.Experience with structured financing for infrastructure projects
3.Good knowledge of the National Electricity Market (NEM) and renewable energy sector in Australia
Non-Technical / Soft Skills:
- Possess a passion for renewable energy sector
- Able to multi-task and focus on delivering results
- Communication skills and ability to work across a diverse skilled organisation.
- Ability to work independently and in teams
Responsibilities:
1.Create and manage extensive financial models to evaluate investment opportunities (Vena Energy self-development and M&A)
2.Conduct due diligence on investment opportunities, prepare and present qualitative and quantitative analysis
3.Contribute to project financing processes, including communication with lenders, management of external DD advisors, terms negotiation, etc.
4.Assist in business development activities such as offtake tendering, project agreement negotiation, market research, etc.
5.Assist in the ongoing management and performance monitoring of Vena Energy operational projects
