Description:

Applications are invited for the position of Associate Director, Direct International Student Recruitment and Engagement in the Global Business Development Department, located at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus. The salary range is $96,466 to $120,582 for a 35-hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.
Reporting to the Director of Global Business Development, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding the college’s global reach by implementing effective recruitment strategies and building relationships with international students, institutions, and partners. This role is integral to the college’s mission of providing a quality education and diverse learning environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Four (4) year bachelor’s degree in business, international relations, political science, communications, marketing, global development, education, law, social sciences, or similar fields of study.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of pertinent professional experience demonstrating a successful track record in international negotiations and business development.
  • Demonstrated experience in international education, relations, or business, including international living or working.
  • Familiarity with change management principles for intricate cross-functional initiatives.
  • Proficiency in utilizing project management and customer relations management (CRM) software tools.
  • Strong capabilities in research, proposal/report writing, and a demonstrated high level of cross-cultural competence.
  • Proficiency in high-stakes negotiation techniques.
  • Skill in conducting legal reviews and assessments.
  • Profound acumen in government relations and a keen understanding of diplomacy.
  • A commitment to equity and inclusivity principles with a strong grasp of intercultural sensitivity.
  • Proven project management expertise.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • RCIC or RISIA certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and executing a comprehensive direct recruitment plan for international students.
  • Tracking and analyzing recruitment metrics, including inquiries, applications, conversion rates, and student quality.
  • Providing comprehensive support, including immigration guidance, academic advising, scholarships, and transition assistance.
  • Developing global community engagement strategies and tactics, targeting new communities in line with the college’s strategic plan.
  • Establishing strategic partnerships to expand engagement and credibility in the global community.
  • Promoting college programs through various online and offline channels and participating in relevant education events.
  • Continuously monitoring and adapting engagement strategies for maximum effectiveness.
  • Implementing the Community Partners Program to increase local recruitment of international students through community collaborations.
  • Fostering cross-departmental collaboration and effective team management to align recruitment efforts with the college’s strategic plan and global marketing requirements.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of international student visa regulations, including the Immigration and Refugees Protection Act (IRPA), Immigration and Refugees Protection Regulations, Operational Bulletins, policy changes, and adhering to the International Standards Binding Policy set by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities.
