The Associate Director of Student Success and Institutional Research Analytics will play a pivotal role in advancing data analytics and evaluation methodologies to enhance student success initiatives within the College. Reporting to the Director, they will lead efforts in analyzing historical institutional data, utilizing mixed methods (quantitative/qualitative), and predictive analytics to identify trends in student retention and enrollment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of three to five years’ experience in a similar position within higher education preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with student information systems and database queries.
  • Data visualization experience is required (Power BI and / or Tableau preferred).
  • Experience with survey design, administration, and software (Qualtrics preferred).

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of three to five years’ experience in a similar position within higher education preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with student information systems and database queries.
  • Data visualization experience is required (Power BI and / or Tableau preferred).

  • Ability to lead complex data projects from inception to completion and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and communicate technical information to non-technical audience.

  • Knowledge of SPSS and data analytics and modeling, including regression analysis.

  • This role is in an office environment. This is a primarily sedentary role but requires some delivery and travel between buildings and departments. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DEPARTMENTAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts student success and retention research projects, including statistical/quantitative analyses and ad hoc data requests.
  • Collaborates with the director to build strong relationships with enrollment and advising offices across campus in fostering a culture of data informed decisions to strengthen retention efforts and student success initiatives.
  • Utilizes predictive analytics and regression modeling to forecast student success outcomes and assist in identifying intervention strategies for at-risk students.
  • Identifies strategic opportunities to support student success programs and initiatives.
  • Develops and publishes dashboards for various projects and assists in compiling data for internal and external reporting, including federal, state, and accreditation agencies.
  • Communicates technical information effectively in verbal, written and visual formats to diverse audiences.
  • Represents the Institutional Research office and the College on various campus committees and through participation in external groups.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
