The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate Estimating and Pricing Specialist to join our Finance Shared Services (FSS) Estimating Center of Expertise (COE) organization supporting the Government Estimating and Pricing Transactional Spares team located in Oklahoma City, OK and Hazelwood, MO.
Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a highly motivated Associate Estimating and Pricing Specialist to join our team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, or Hazelwood, Missouri! As part of the Estimating Organization, you’ll have the opportunity to support various platforms within our Executive Transport portfolio, including C-32, C-40, E-4B, and VC-25, serving both United States Government and International Customers. This role involves working with requirements such as Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARs), Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA), and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). From Presidents Roosevelt to Biden, Boeing airplanes have transported U.S. presidents around the world, and the U.S. Air Force has announced the continuation of this tradition with the 747-8, which will replace the two 747-200s serving as the presidential Executive Transport.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Business, or related field
  • 1+ years of experience in a business related function (including but not limited to: Finance, Contracts, Estimating, Procurement Financial Analysis, Business Operations, Supplier Management, Marketing & Sales)
  • Proficiency and experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 3+ years of experience in the use of Microsoft Excel to capture, format, and manipulate data using mathematical, accounting and organizations functions/formulas/macros within the tool for the purpose of performing both business related and technical analyses
  • Experience speaking publicly to Senior Leadership
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines with challenging priorities

TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years’ related work experience , 7 years’ related work experience, etc.).

Responsibilities:

  • Develops basic estimates and prices from technical requirements through the design, build and support stages of the program
  • Participates in evaluation of requests for proposal, substantiates routine estimates/pricing and assembles price proposals
  • Performs analyses in support of pricing and estimating (risk, financial, driven, etc.)
  • Incorporates data into and maintains structured systems
  • Builds and develops routine estimating and pricing methods
  • Builds, develops, and maintains basic pricing models
  • Supports the development/application/maintenance of rates and factors for estimating, pricing, and proposals
  • Assists with compliance, policy and procedure development, and development/deployment of systems and tools
