Description:

Robert Half is in search of an experienced Bookkeeper to join an organization located in the Ottawa-East Region. This is a full-time/permanent role on site.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years experience in a similar role
  • Post-secondary education is preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Proficient in MS Office Excel
  • Self-starter, takes initiative and possess excellent communication skills
  • Willing and able to work with a team
  • Patient, confident and reliable

Responsibilities:

  • Process and oversee the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
  • Keep up to date on statutory payroll changes
  • Managing and processing payroll
  • T4 and ROE preparation as required

Verify invoice validity

  • Enter bills; make payments to suppliers and investors
  • Follow up with vendors if any discrepancies
  • Prepare deposits; and prepare cheques for signature
  • Bank and Credit Card reconciliation
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and update budget spreadsheets
  • Prepare and monitor product profitability reports
  • Input daily sales; Assist and enter inventory entries and adjustments
  • Assist the management team; and implement new accounting procedures if required
  • Month end and year end closing
