POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with expertise in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in analysing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and integrating GIS solutions to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of spatial data concepts, cartography, and GIS data formats.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical GIS solutions.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements related to spatial data analysis and GIS applications.
- Conduct thorough analysis of existing business processes, systems, and data flows to identify areas for optimization and enhancement.
- Develop comprehensive business requirements documents, user stories, and functional specifications for GIS-related projects.
- Work closely with GIS specialists, developers, and other cross-functional teams to design and implement GIS solutions that align with business objectives.
- Perform data analysis and manipulation using GIS software to extract insights, visualize spatial patterns, and support decision-making.
- Provide training and support to end users on GIS tools, applications, and best practices.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in GIS and business analysis.
