Description:

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Business Analyst to join their dynamic Information and Technology team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of the organisation’s ICT strategy, working closely with stakeholders at all levels. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering, developing, and documenting requirements, analysing business processes, and delivering compelling business cases.
What you’ll do:

As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our client’s ICT landscape. You will be instrumental in coordinating workshops and interviews to gather crucial data and information for service identification. Your ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels will be key in ensuring successful project implementation. You will also contribute significantly to the delivery of the organisation’s ICT Strategy by planning research initiatives that support ICT projects. Your responsibilities will also include developing comprehensive reports such as Business Requirements, Benefits Realisation, Business Cases, among others. Furthermore, you will ensure alignment with architectural standards while identifying cost-effective solutions. Lastly, you will support resource development and training workshops to enhance understanding related to project outcomes.

  • Coordinate, facilitate and deliver workshops and interviews to derive requirements, data and information for service identification, process mapping and procedures.
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels relating to the design, development and implementation of project requirements.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the Town’s ICT Strategy.
  • Plan and undertake research to support ICT projects.
  • Develop reports such as Business Requirements, Benefits realisation, Business Cases, status updates.
  • Ensure alignment with the Town’s architectural standards and framework.
  • Identify the total cost of operations for solutions and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to assist appropriate budget allocation.
  • Support the development of resources and training workshops to ensure understanding and capability related to project outcomes.

The ideal candidate for this Business Analyst role will bring a wealth of experience in applying business analysis methodologies and performing business process mapping. You will have a proven track record in identifying business requirements, evaluating options, and developing compelling business cases. Your ability to apply information and communications technology to harness opportunities while identifying risks will be crucial in this role. A qualification in a relevant discipline such as Information Systems or equivalent experience is required. Your excellent analytical and facilitation skills, coupled with your client-focused approach and strong communication skills, will set you apart.

  • Proven experience applying business analysis methodologies, performing business process mapping (current and future state), business requirements identification, options evaluation, and business case development.
  • Experience applying information and communications technology to harness opportunities while identifying risks and impacts.
  • Qualification in relevant discipline such as Information Systems or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent analytical and facilitation skills.
  • Client-focused customer service approach with excellent prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong negotiation abilities.
