At NAPA, we’re on a mission to redefine the way businesses innovate and grow. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced BDM to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to make a significant impact.
The results driven BDM will support and service our existing client base as well as develop and drive growth throughout our Central North Island sales Region from Pukekohe to Wellington.
Our client base and target markets are Auto Mechanical, Automotive Electrical, Air-Conditioning workshops and Industrial Manufacturers. Automotive aptitude and experience will be highly regarded but not essential. Training, support, and tools of the trade will be provided, and previous experience in a similar role will be advantageous.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify new business opportunities and manage the full negotiation and close process with strategic alliances and partnerships.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships and liaise with key stakeholders to ensure opportunities are identified and acted upon.
  • Effectively communicate the NAPA value proposition through proposals and presentations.
  • Execute trade sales programs within the designated region.
  • A good understanding of the automotive business landscape
  • Understand category-specific landscapes and trends, reporting on the influences that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts.
  • Attend weekly/monthly sales meetings, industry events and product information sessions.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to close deals. Ability to create, maintain customer and vendor relationships.
