Description:

Stanmore Bay Pharmacy Limited, trading as Unichem Stanmore Bay, is currently seeking a Business Manager in Auckland. The Business Manager will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of our pharmacy. This is a full-time permanent employment, guaranteeing a minimum of 40 hours a week, scheduled between Monday to Sunday. Responsibilities will include:

Your key responsibilities

  • Plan and manage day to day operational aspects of the business as per set standards.
  • Manage staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Monitor staff performance, conduct performance reviews and appraisals.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support personnel.
  • Develop and implement promotional and marketing strategies to promote the business.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to enhance the pharmacy’s profitability and competitiveness.
  • Analyse financial reports, monitor budgetary performance, and implement cost-control measures.
  • Stay informed about changes in pharmacy laws and regulations, ensuring the pharmacy is always compliant.
  • Undertake budgeting and reviewing the expenses of the sites.
  • Manage day to day banking and accounts of the business.
  • Implement effective inventory control measures to minimise waste and maximise product availability.
  • Oversee the procurement, storage, and dispensing of pharmaceuticals, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Maintain stock levels and make key decisions about stock control by implementing purchasing policies and staying in contact with vendor sand ensure ordered products are delivered and accurately invoiced.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service, ensuring positive interactions with patients.
  • Ensure all customer queries and complaints are dealt with in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Ensure the business and staff comply with Occupational Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Carry out any other duties as requested by the Managing Director or designated Manager.

Qualifications & experience:

  • At least 2-year work experience in a Managerial Role.
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and a can-do attitude.
  • Good time management skills.

The pay range for this position is between $30.00 per hour to $32.00 per hour based upon experience
