Description:
Zero Labs Automotive, an automotive and industrial design, technology, and engineering firm based in Los Angeles, California, is looking for a skilled and dedicated Chassis Engineer to join our team. This role requires a highly competent individual who will be responsible for designing and developing the suspension and steering systems, brakes, and other important components for our Premium Classic Electric Vehicles. Working closely with electrical and mechanical engineers, the Chassis Engineer will have the opportunity to contribute to the creation of innovative, world-class electric vehicles.

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in automotive engineering with a focus on chassis development.
- Experience with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks or Catia.
- Experience in designing and developing chassis systems, steering systems, braking systems.
- Ability to understand suspension systems behavior and optimize for performance.
- Experience in analyzing and interpreting data for the purpose of assembling test reports.
- Experience with electric vehicles is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop complete chassis systems, steering and braking systems for electric vehicles, including both on-road and off-road vehicles.
- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to ensure optimal integration of the chassis into the vehicle’s overall design.
- Review and approve all vehicle mechanical functional performance specifications.
- Conduct a comprehensive evaluation of individual suspension components and their assembly to ensure maximum performance for on-road and off-road driving.
- Perform calculations, FEA, and other simulation analysis work to validate strength, stiffness, and fatigue safety factors.
- Analyze test data to redesign and optimize chassis systems for optimal performance.
- Ensure the compliance with applicable safety regulations and standards.
