The Colliers Engineering and Design team specialises in civil, infrastructure, water engineering, town planning and urban design. Key services provided to developers in this service line include site assessment and due diligence, planning approvals and engineering design through to completion of construction.
Job Description
We are seeking to appoint a Civil Designer in our Taree office, this is a newly created role available due to strong organic growth. You will report directly into the Principal Engineer and have the backing of a team of over 260 experts nationally. You will work closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers and Senior Designers on the design and delivery of Urban Development projects. In particular you will work on land developments (residential and commercial), infrastructure and municipal projects including roads, drainage, sewer, water, earthworks erosion and sediment control.

Specifically:

  • Review sketches, drawings and engineering data received from external consultants, clients and internal stakeholders
  • Create detailed engineering designs and construction drawings compliant with industry standards and codes
  • Analyse and prepare reports, drawings, planning and design documents for urban development projects
  • Liaise with stakeholders on a regular basis to manage project variations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High level technical knowledge of industry codes and standards
  • Proven project design delivery experience
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
  • High level industry awareness and engagement
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications. use of 12d, ACAD, 12d drainage, PC Drain
  • Experience in preparation of concept and detailed designs for land development projects
