Role Overview
Reporting to the Group Head of Reward, in London, this role has the responsibility for managing reward, compensation and benefits for the APAC region. As such, we are looking for a strong and experienced individual to join our global team.
Role Responsibilities

This role plays a critical role in developing and implementing compensation and rewards strategies to attract, motivate, and retain top talent across the organization. You will collaborate with key stakeholders, including HR business partners, finance, and senior leadership, to design and administer competitive compensation and rewards programmes that align with business goals and support our commitment to employee engagement and performance.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive compensation and rewards strategies, policies, and programmes to attract, retain, and motivate top talent globally.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to benchmark compensation levels, benefits, and incentive structures against industry standards and competitors.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners, senior management, and finance to design and implement annual compensation and benefits plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and budgetary constraints.
  • Lead the annual salary review process, including job evaluation, salary benchmarking, and merit increase recommendations, ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to HR business partners and managers on compensation-related matters, including job levelling, salary bands, and incentive plans.
  • Monitor market trends and legislative changes related to compensation and benefits, providing recommendations and ensuring compliance with local and global regulations.
  • Manage the administration of variable pay programmes, such as annual bonuses, sales incentives, and long-term incentive plans, ensuring accurate calculations, timely payouts, and clear communication to eligible employees.
  • Collaborate with the HRIS team to maintain and update compensation data and systems, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
  • Analyse compensation and rewards data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Drive the communication and education of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring employees have a clear understanding of the total rewards offerings available to them.
  • Lead special compensation projects, such as job grading initiatives, ensuring seamless integration and adherence to best practices.
  • Oversight of the day to day responsibilities, administration and management of the renewals for APAC employee benefits programmes, including introducing new initiatives to improve the benefits offering to employees across APAC.
  • Working as part of a Wellness team to agree an annual calendar of wellbeing events and providing content for the APAC region.
  • Managing escalation of queries and issues raised from providers, brokers and employees.
  • Ongoing benefit reviews to ensure they remain competitive, cost effective and adherence to the needs of the combined businesses and in line with the wider business strategy.
  • Central management of benefit related invoices, ensuring correct cost allocation, and reconciliations are carried out and appropriate approvals are obtained.
  • General benefits administration including updating HR system (Workday) where necessary.
  • Owner of all benefits processes, ensuring they are kept updated on an ongoing basis.
  • Foster strong relationships with external vendors and consultants to leverage their expertise and ensure effective administration of compensation and rewards programmes.
  • Support the annual budgeting process by providing data and insights related to compensation costs and trends.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in compensation and rewards, continuously enhancing the bank’s programs to remain competitive in the market.

Experience / Competences

Essential

  • Strong experience managing benefits renewals.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing external suppliers and vendor and responding to employee queries.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation principles, market trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, conduct market research, and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Proficiency in compensation analysis and benchmarking tools, HR information systems (HRIS), and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines.
  • Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement orientation, constantly seeking opportunities to enhance compensation and rewards programs.
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and global work environment.
