Job Description
The Project
The Eastern Busway is a significant project that is about more than just better transport. It will increase access to jobs and education, connect people to social and community opportunities, attract investment and growth, enable urban development, and help reduce emissions.
Its efficient services will give nearby communities some great options for cycling, walking or using the bus, and it will be a vital part of the public transport network in Tāmaki Makaurau for decades to come.

The Opportunity
The Contracts Administrator will ensure effective administration of allocated subcontracts through all phases of the project, as per the Alliance requirements.

Key Accountabilities for the position will be:

  • Collate and review and maintain site records for adequacy and accuracy for use in preparation of reports, variations and claims.
  • Prepare (with input from engineering and construction) monthly liability / valuation schedules and final cost forecasts for use in financial reports
  • Prepare (and/or assist in) the identification, preparation, issue, review, recommendation, award and closure of assigned packages with detailed input from the engineering and construction team
  • Assists in the management with resolving contractual claims/ disputes and where applicable, coordinate and brief to external legal counsel and liaison with insurance representatives
  • Ensures that all financial obligations of the contract are adequately covered and project risk is minimised

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Tertiary Qualification in a related field Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Legal, Construction Management or similar
  • Minimum 3 years experience in similar role ideally in the Building, Infrastructure or Energy environment
  • Effective communication skills – both verbal and written, and the ability to communicate with a variety of people.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Suite experience
