Description:

A vacancy has arisen for a Customer/Key Account Manager at OEM to manage the account and onsite Team. The incumbent will be based in Pretoria, reporting directly to the National Sales and Marketing Manager.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years` experience in commercial/sales management preferably in the automotive industry
  • Experienced Team Leader
  • Strong Key account management skills and experience
  • Excellent planning and project management skills
  • Proven problem solving, analytical skills and administrative skills.
  • Good understanding of income and expense statements
  • Capacity to utilize company’s information systems.
  • Customer and conflict management skills
  • Proven selling / negotiating skills.
  • Experience in Automotive paint would be a distinct advantage.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

  • Minimum: Tertiary Qualification –Diploma or Degree, preferably a Sales / Marketing or Business Studies.
  • High level of computer literacy (MS Office – especially Excel, Power Point & Project)
  • Valid Driver’s Licence and must have own vehicle.

Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with Paint Shop, Production, Purchasing and Senior Plant leadership across the various functional areas ensuring high customer engagement.
  • Manage all commercial aspects for the account: o Compile and manage the customer sales, expenses, and profitability plan. o Pricing preparations and negotiations
  • Maintain low accounts receivable as per company target.
  • Manage and compile Forecast to ensure continuous uninterrupted supply.
  • Compile product demand plan, manage inventory levels and coordinate product requirements.
  • Monitor online portal systems demand, web quote and supply metrics.
  • Implement sales strategy in accordance with company strategy.
  • Propose necessary actions and / or make improvements related to profitability and pricing.
  • Compile and present regular account reviews and monitor progress on new projects undertaken.
  • Maintain a high focus on maintenance of market share and follow up on approvals, as necessary.
  • Monitor competitor activities and developments and devise strategies to capitalize on opportunities. ? Coordinate the on-site team activities through Technical Site Manager to meet and exceed customer expectations and SLA requirements.
  • Coordinate local and global account resources for all related activities of the account. Ensure pro-active communication with the customer at all levels.
  • Actively manage all projects and drive improvement opportunities
  • Ensure overall excellent customer service.
