Description:

Requiring in-depth knowledge and experience needed to operate independently with limited guidance and oversight, the Data Scientist applies a new perspective on existing solutions to solve complex problems. Making decisions within guidelines and policies that impact a range of customer, operational, process, or project activities, they will develop work plans for short-term assignments of moderate complexity.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-Year degree in a STEM field with 2-3 years of highly relevant experience
  • Familiarity with statistics and machine learning concepts is essential
  • Preferred Master’s degree in a STEM field with 1-2 years of work experience OR PhD in a STEM field with 0-1 years of work experience

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES

  • Must be proficient in at least 3 of the 6 tools: Spark, Python, R, SQL, Git Version Control, AWS/Azure/GCP

Responsibilities:

  • Lead statistical analysis and build models for various and complex business problems.
  • Lead the analytical design for complex problem solution, taking input from others.
  • Lead the development of projects with multiple statistical deliverables leveraging business and technical expertise.
  • Lead statistician on business or technical domain
  • Contributes to code repository and improves the coding of others.
  • Able to analyze and prepare complex and new data sources and incorporate into analytical solutions.
  • Evaluates the technical work of peer statistical analysts, guiding them on deliverable quality and accuracy.
  • Communicates results to stakeholders and mid-level leadership, able to communicate business impact of work.
