Our distinct company culture makes us a top employer, as well a premiere choice for our customers for the last eight (8) consecutive years. We work hard to ensure that our values permeate the company and are reflected in everything we do. Whether it be in setting priorities, defining ideas, or carrying out processes, we are committed to ensuring that the following values are manifested at all levels of our organization.
What you will be doing: As a key leader within the Transformation Delivery organization, the Director of Architect/Project Lead plays a critical role in steering the direction and execution of our proprietary software’s transformation processes—from RPG code into Java or PHP. This role demands a strategic visionary who can not only drive project excellence and innovation in transforming architectures but also adeptly manage a diverse team comprising Architects, DevOps Engineers, Inventory Managers, Project Leads, and a QA X-Datatest Engineer. With a hands-on approach, the Director will ensure the seamless delivery of services, achieving a balance between direct project involvement and overarching managerial responsibilities. Expected to contribute up to 40% of their time as a billable Project Lead—initially focusing on the Northern Trust project—this individual will embody leadership that inspires, guides, and expands the capabilities of our 12-member team.
The Director is also entrusted with the responsibility of defining and refining the methodologies and practices across the various domains within the Transformation Delivery department. With approval authority for project expenditures up to $500,000, they will ensure that projects are delivered efficiently and in alignment with our strategic objectives. Collaborating closely with the Client Engagement team, the Director will be instrumental in shaping RFP responses, project estimations, and the development of project calculators, ensuring that our proposals are competitive, compelling, and reflective of our deep expertise and innovative approaches.
In summary, this position is not just about managing teams and projects; it’s about leading transformative change, fostering a culture of excellence, and building a bridge between technology and business outcomes to ensure not only project success but also heightened customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead strategic direction and leadership for transformation initiatives, aligning project goals with the broader organizational vision and objectives.
  • Optimize the allocation and utilization of resources across transformation projects, encompassing staffing, training, performance evaluation, and ensuring staff meet billable hour expectations.
  • Ensure comprehensive management of transformation projects from conception through to completion, maintaining strict adherence to timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
  • Forge and nurture robust client relationships, keenly understanding their needs to deliver solutions that not only meet but exceed their expectations.
  • Proactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks within transformation projects, taking preemptive actions to reduce potential impacts on project delivery.
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts within the transformation framework, seeking out opportunities to refine processes, methodologies, and tools for heightened operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Take charge of reviewing and approving Statements of Work (SOW) and contracts, ensuring they meet organizational standards, project viability, and risk mitigation. Own and enhance the project estimation model to ensure proposals are accurate and competitive.
  • Employ analytical tools like Excel and Jira for the detailed analysis and presentation of project statistics, including work progress, project forecasting, team velocity, and performance metrics. Execute scenario analyses to assess the impacts of various project adjustments on outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with finance and executive leadership to devise and oversee the department’s budget, aligning financial planning with strategic goals and optimizing resource allocation.
