Description:
ETL Developer On behalf of our client in the Financial Services Sector, PROCOM is looking for an ETL Developer. ETL Developer - Job Description
- Collaborate with the team and the other IT departments to analyze, develop, test, and deploy solutions to maintain or integrate new business areas to our data warehouse and Snowflake migration
- Understand business requirements, translate them into technical requirements
- Design and develop Data ingestion & consumption pipelines as per data ingestion pattern
- Design and develop real time data streaming pipelines with robust data reconciliation and observability mechanism
- Take leadership in defining the Software Engineering best practices regarding the code standardization, branching strategy, pipeline code optimization, cost optimization, design patterns, etc.
- Collaborate with Solution and Enterprise Architects to address unique business problems, provide project estimates and design complex data transformations solutions, utilizing appropriate tools and technologies
- Document implementation steps and produce quality evidence. Create and maintain system documentation
- Provide technical support to Business Intelligence analysts, testers, and deployment coordinators throughout our development cycle and for production support, typically during regular business hours
ETL Developer - Mandatory Skills
- A bachelor’s degree in information technology / software engineering or any equivalent combination of training and experience
- 10+ years of strong experience with IICS, Snowflake, AWS and Oracle databases
- Hands-on experience with Snowpipe and IICS API for realtime data ingestion
- Hands-on experience with PL/SQL, java and Python programming
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with data integration (data warehouse)
- Strong knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) techniques and different data ingestion patterns
- Working experience with Data Vault 2.0 and Relational Data Models
- Knowledge of insurance or financial sector will be advantageous
- Strong presentation, facilitation, verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills

- Assets: databricks, SAS Enterprise Guide, GIT, Jenkins, Business Objects and Power BI
