THE POSITION

Woodlands North is seeking a Finance and Business Manager. This is a full-time permanent position located in Edmonton, AB. This position focuses on supporting our operational efficiencies and our business management processes. The Finance and Business Manager is directly responsible for finance, accounting and administrative functions.

Position Accountabilities*

  • Financial Reporting, preparing financial plans, budgets, cashflow management and projections;
  • Business policy and process development;
  • Records management including journal entry, account reconciliation, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable;
  • Payroll and benefits administration;
  • KPI reporting including projects, safety, employee management, payroll, safety and finance;
  • Office administration and support;
  • Business resource planning;
  • Preparing year-end documentation;
  • Management of deliverables and working relationships with Woodlands’ peers, management and clients.

Position Requirements and Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education related to a Business, Business Administration or an Accounting discipline;
  • Minimum experience of 3 years in a related position;
  • Knowledgeable in current small business best management practices;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and accounting software (preferably QuickBooks);
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership, quality, safety, and customer service focus;
  • Strong communication skills, collaborative and team oriented;
  • IT or safety program management knowledge or experience is considered as an asset.
