Northumberland Hills Hospital (NHH) is currently seeking an Internal Medicine / Critical Care Specialist for the position of staff internist/intensivist/pulmonologist in Cobourg, Ontario. The successful candidate will join a vibrant group of internists with complementary sub-specialty interests. Opportunities for Locum coverage will be considered on a case-by-case basis, including resident candidates and year 4/5 trainees.
Responsibilities:
Practice opportunities include in-patient Intensive Care Unit (ICU) coverage as Most Responsible Physician (MRP), in addition to in-patient consultation from the Emergency Department and the Hospitalist service. The successful candidate will share the role of primary physician (MRP) for NHH’s 11-bed ICU for adult medical patients, participate in 24/7 on-call group scheduling supporting the hospital atlarge, and have access to a range of on-site ambulatory care clinics, supports and services.
Remuneration:
Compensation will be based on the Alternative Funding Agreement (AFA) and oncall stipend through the Hospital On-Call Coverage Program (HOCC). Vacation relief is supported through group colleague coverage.
Qualifications:
Fully independent registration (or eligibility for same) with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
