Immanuel Communities is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to work at Immanuel Home Office located at 1044 North 115th Street, Omaha, NE 68154.
Pay will be based upon experience, certifications, skills and education.
EDUCATION-
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management Information Systems or related field is required.
- Equivalent years of experience may substitute for education requirement.
EXPERIENCE-
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in design, deployment and management of a mid or large sized corporate wired & wireless network required.
- Knowledge of basic and advanced network concepts & services including ICMP, VLAN, SDWAN, DHCP, DNS, 802.1x & interior\exterior routing protocols required.
- Understanding of the basic workings of common carrier delivered circuits including physical medium, delivery method, speeds, pricing and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with Aruba’s Airwave management or similar preferred.
- Aruba Certified Switch Professional (ACSP) or equivalent Cisco certification required (must have within 4 months of hire).
- Aruba Certified Mobility Expert v8.x (ACMX) or Aruba Certified Design Expert (ACDX) or similar Cisco certification preferred.
- Equivalent years of education may substitute for experience requirement.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS –
- Experience with network monitoring solutions preferred.
- Ability to automate deployment processes preferred.
KSA- KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES-
- Knowledge of Active Directory in a Windows 2019 and 2012 domain.
- Knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices in the networking field including, core routing and switching in open and converged systems.
- Mentors, coaches, and cross-trains entry-level staff on technology frameworks and concepts ensuring the overall quality of the team is improved.
- Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues and vendors.
- Ability to quickly learn new IT tools and technologies.

Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The position of Senior Network Engineer supports the organization by working directly with IT leadership and business stakeholders to develop and deploy solid, affordable, and high performing network solutions. Responsibilities include systems research, design, implementation, support and troubleshooting of the corporate network infrastructure. The position will support a multi-location\multi-state wired, wireless, SDWAN and common carrier infrastructure including datacenter. The Senior Network Engineer will work with management by providing technical leadership for strategic projects and initiatives. Furthermore, the Senior Network Engineer will collaborate with the security team in support of best practice methodologies to support required compliance and security frameworks. Supports and lives out Immanuel’s Mission and CHRIST Promises.
