Duties
This position is located under the Office of Intelligence Operations, Criminal Intelligence Division, Analysis Production Branch in Washington, District of Columbia.
The primary purpose of this position is to perform work in the collection, analyses, evaluation, interpretation, and dissemination of information on conditions, trends force in foreign and domestic areas that directly or indirectly affect the national security. Performs as an all-source intelligence analyst with responsibility for the project and activities within a specifically defined geographical or functional area of responsibility.
As a Intelligence Research Specialist, GS-0132-9, your typical work assignments may include:
Conducting analytical research on criminal or regulatory related data and generating informational reports.
Identifying and selecting appropriate software for use in automating various charts, graphs, etc. for use in cases, trials and hearings.
Conducting routine intelligence-related tasks in support of ongoing investigative inspection and intelligence activities for the assigned office.
Conducting some analysis of database information and produces output.

MOBILITY PLAN: New employees hired pursuant to this vacancy announcement must sign a mobility agreement. Qualifications

To qualify for GS-9, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-7.
