Description:

Organisation: Our client, a dynamic Non-for-Profit organisation based in Brisbane, is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join their team as an IT Infrastructure Manager. This role offers the opportunity to lead and manage all aspects of the organisation’s IT infrastructure, contributing to the mission of navigating cancer for clients through innovative technology solutions.
Your Role: As the Manager of Infrastructure, you will be responsible for overseeing all facets of our client’s cloud, server, desktop, communications, and security infrastructure. This includes managing incident and problem management processes, ensuring the lifecycle plan of IT assets, and driving business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
Additionally, you will contribute to the development of IT security strategy, manage relationships with third-party vendors, and actively participate in policy formation and knowledge database enhancement.
This role will be 50% managerial as well as 50% hands-on, resolving escalated level 3 tickets.

Your Contribution:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the organisation’s IT infrastructure, including cloud, server, desktop, communications, and security systems.
  • Lead the IT Service Desk to ensure timely response and resolution of user requests and incidents.
  • Drive incident management and problem management processes.
  • Develop and implement business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Contribute to the formulation of the IT Security Strategy.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors for specialised project and managed services.
  • Participate in policy and guideline formation and contribute to the knowledge database.
  • Foster effective relationships with colleagues and business leaders.
  • Contribute to the mission of leveraging technology to navigate cancer for clients.

Position Description: The responsibilities of this position may evolve in accordance with the organisation’s changing business requirements. The successful candidate will collaborate with team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality programs and activities and maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in operational aspects of commercial IT infrastructure, with 1-2 years in a team lead or manager capacity.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 and Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in conflict resolution.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Server products, network security systems, and remote access technologies.
  • Familiarity with Session Border Controllers and Cisco Meraki.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong documentation and time management skills.
  • Problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm for delivering excellent customer service.

They possess a background in vendor management and are comfortable working with Microsoft technologies, AI, and automation.
