We are looking for Logistics Co-ordinator for the City Deep area in Johannesburg South for a company within the Food industry to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of goods throughout our supply chain.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Matric
- Degree in Logistics is advantageous
- Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices in logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Advanced computer literacy is essential (MS Office)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods from our facilities to customers, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with transportation providers, negotiating rates and contracts to optimize cost-effectiveness and service quality.
- Track and monitor inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and timely replenishment to meet production and customer demands as well as full stock control function.
- Collaborate with internal departments, such as procurement, production, and sales, to ensure effective communication and alignment of logistics activities with overall business objectives.
- Continuously evaluate and improve logistics processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains and cost savings.
- Following all aspects of HACCP; safety; quality, legality and aspects related to authenticity in the department.
- Any other support as per business demands.
