Multimedia Specialist - Aljunied

Contract Period: 1st July 2024 to 30th June 2025 – 12months

Working hours:

• Mondays to Thursdays: 8:00am to 5:30pm, inclusive of 1 hour lunch break
• Fridays: 8.00am to 5:00pm, inclusive of 1 hour lunch break
• Services are not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays, except for specific duties beyond stipulated work hours.

Scope of Services:
Support Teaching and Learning
1) Provide multimedia support (e.g., photography, video production, live streaming etc.) to facilitate the delivery of lessons and events, and support administration tasks for teaching and learning (e.g., burning CDROMs for listening comprehension, printing of media resources etc.)
2) Provide in-class support to teachers implementing ICT integrated lessons (e.g., navigate and troubleshoot apps and productivity tools in class for teachers and students)
3) Provide technical advice in terms of multimedia hardware and software that the school can purchase to support the teaching and learning in curricular and co-curricular areas
4) Proficient at administering Google Classroom environment for school
5) Able to provide Google Suite for Education support to school (staff and students) in troubleshooting and training
Assist in Multimedia Production and Training
1) Provide videography/photography/live-streaming/video-conferencing support for coverage of school events and functions
2) Provide editing and post-production works using software e.g., Adobe Premier Pro, After Effects
3) Plan and implement multimedia training e.g., on Adobe Suite software (Photoshop, Premier Pro, After Effects, Flash, Illustrator), photography and videography, for staff and students
4) Work closely with ICT team (e.g., ICT Associate, Desktop Engineers) on multimedia requirements and support required by staff and students
Management of Multimedia Equipment and Inventory
1) Perform maintenance and upkeep of multimedia equipment
2) Maintain usage and service records of multimedia equipment and replacement
3) Manage loans of multimedia equipment via school standardised loan procedures
4) Perform asset checks of multimedia equipment
5) Work closely with HOD ICT and ICT Associate in sourcing for procurements, monitoring expenses and budget for costs incurred as part of maintenance and/or replacements
Other Duties
1) Ad-hoc maintenance and update of school website
2) Other duties pertaining to the area of multimedia (e.g., provide digital drawings of maps, design of brochures and posters) when assigned by School Leaders, HOD/ICT, ICT Associate and CCA (e.g., AV or Info com) teacher-in-charge
Qualification, Skill & Experience:
1) Minimum requirement of a Diploma or equivalent relevant
2) Have knowledge and be able to use, troubleshoot and provide advice for:
a) Multimedia and photo-editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Premier Pro, After Effects, Flash, Illustrator)
b) Google Suite for Education
3) Able to operate cameras (e.g., DSLR) and video-cameras
4) Preferably have skills in designing posters and brochures for school events
5) Preferably have skills to conduct live-streaming, video conferencing or equivalent in schools
6) Preferably have skills to maintain and update websites of schools
7) At least 2 years experience in working as a Multimedia Specialist or has experience in multimedia production for events, functions, and projects in schools
8) Preferably have experience training students and working with teachers in multimedia in a school environment
9) Preferably have experience managing and working in AV/Info-com club or equivalent in schools
10) Preferably have experience to perform asset checks of multimedia equipment in schools
11) Team-player and able to work with all levels of school staff (job scope includes supporting teachers in their work)
12) Possess a positive attitude and pleasant disposition
13) Should be diligent and a fast learner, able to work independently with clear and minimal instructions
