Are you seeking an opportunity to join a rapidly expanding Managed Service Provider (MSP)? Our client is actively seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join their dedicated team.
As a key member of the team, you will embody a client-centric ethos, ensuring top-notch service delivery at all times. You will collaborate closely with project teams, the Operations and DevOps Teams to streamline processes, while actively sharing knowledge, as your role will involve coaching and mentoring other junior team members, and maintaining a proactive approach to fulfilling other duties as required.

DEMONSTRATED SKILLSET:

  • Profound understanding of networking principles, including switching, routing, firewall management, and network configuration across Cisco, Fortinet, Mikrotik, and Sophos platforms.
  • Ability to implement network design solutions developed by team members.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting network-related VoIP issues.
  • Experience in conducting on-site cabling and connecting voice and data services as required.
  • Capable of performing site audits, evaluations, and selections.

BENEFICIAL SKILLSET:

  • Exposure to Linux systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, especially AWS/Azure.
  • Experience with hosted IP Telephony systems, such as 3CX.
  • Understanding of managed services and support ticketing software like Autotask.
  • Exposure to maintaining network monitoring software.

Responsibilities:

  • Address and escalate client inquiries promptly and effectively.
  • Follow established processes to maintain thorough documentation and track all tasks.
  • Provide remote and on-site support as necessary.
  • Collaborate with project teams to meet deadlines and deliverables.
  • Share knowledge and support colleagues whenever possible.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotations to support client needs.
  • Uphold high standards of customer service and professionalism.
  • Fulfill additional duties as required, including out-of-hours and weekend work.
  • Log and track faults from suppliers/vendors to ensure timely resolution.
  • Work closely with Operations and DevOps teams to streamline processes.
  • Demonstrate the qualities of a true team player: humble, hungry, and smart.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excel both independently and as a collaborative team member.
  • Coach and mentor other team members to foster growth and development.
  • Hold mid- to advanced-level qualifications or industry certifications (e.g., Cisco/Fortinet).
  • Possess a minimum of two years of experience in IT network roles.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management principles, such as ITIL, is desirable.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting helpdesk escalated VPN issues.
