Description:

SUMMARY: -The Night Auditor is responsible for balancing the revenue and expense transactions, which occurred during the day at the hotel. Responsible for the overall operations and appearance of the front desk of the hotel. Responsible for attending to the needs of guests during the evening/night shift and for some guests will be the frontline person whose service determines the guests experience. The Night Auditor is also responsible during these hours for the security of the hotel guests, from doing security walks during the night to responding to noise complaints and dealing with any issues that come up with the guests or the hotel.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing a first-class guest experience making sure their stay is truly memorable.
  • Providing guests with information on hotel policies, services and amenities
  • Selling and Upselling rooms to walk in guests
  • Processing payments on guest accounts
  • Posting charges to guest accounts
  • Closing, balancing and making necessary corrections to guest’s accounts
  • Counting and balancing cash, credit cards and ledger accounts
  • Investigating and fixing any out of balance transactions or postings
  • Complete various computer audit reports
  • Performing all the duties as outlined in the training manual
  • Operating hotel switchboard
  • Cleaning and tidying the lobby and front desk areas
  • Maintaining Daily Logs
  • Maintain hotel’s security reporting any potential safety or security hazards immediately. If there is a fire/alarm to respond to the emergency services. If there is a security risk notifying the police etc.
  • Any other responsibilities or duties as assigned by the supervisor or management team.
