CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

As the successful candidate you will hold a current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). You must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills together with:

• Current First Aid Certification and CPR Certification
• Current Immunisation Certificate – Desirable

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking to engage a QLD based Remote Area Registered Nurse for our Mount Isa Mine Site on a Casual basis. This role will be to cover periods of sick leave and annual leave etc.

DUTIES

Reporting directly to the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for providing a broad range of services including however not limited to:

• High level nursing skills to work autonomously
• Patient triage
• Administering vaccinations
• Monitoring & maintaining stock levels
• Compliance with the Department of Health & Human Services Protocols
• General administration duties
• Phlebotomy
• Current Immunisation Certificate – Desirable
• Providing on-site health and injury management services
• Emergency primary care of injured workers
• Drug & Alcohol testing, Lead level and hydration testing
• Immunisations
