THIS POSTING
This posting will be used to fill 1(one) term full-time position working 75 bi-weekly. It will establish a 12-month eligibility list which may be used to fill similar positions.
This job is based in the thriving and diverse city of Whitehorse in the beautiful Yukon.

- A degree in Political or Social Sciences, English, Communications, Public Policy, or Public Administration, or related field;
- Experience developing a variety of written content for the public and senior management.
- Experience providing policy support, analysis and expertise to senior levels of leadership; and
- Experience researching, compiling, and synthesizing information to provide evidence-based recommendations.

- Ability to think critically, analyze a broad variety of policy projects or research areas, and make reasoned recommendations;

- Ability to work with multiple files and meet deadlines on a daily basis;
- Strong organization/project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects/priorities, and meet deadlines;
- Ability to develop policy related products;
- Ability to address client needs, interests and priorities;
- Ability to establish successful partnerships through collaboration and cooperation with people with diverse and conflicting interests;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Ability to work well independently and within a team environment under pressure.
