Description:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree in biomedical or mechanical engineering, math, physics or a related field, strong written and oral communication skills, and a demonstrated record of accomplishments.
Responsibilities:
A full time one-year Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Anita Vasavada, in Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering at Washington State University (WSU) in Pullman, WA. Dr. Vasavada’s lab focuses on biomechanics and neural control of the musculoskeletal system, focusing on the human head and neck system.
Successful candidates will conduct research related to fatigue in human neck musculoskeletal biomechanics, including electromyography, posture and strength measurement, experimental design, protocol planning, data analysis, and dissemination through writing and presentation. Fellows will receive technical and theoretical training relevant for the project and strong support.
The successful candidate will enjoy a casual, collaborative environment with technical and career training opportunities. Salary will be commensurate with experience. WSU provides health care packages to its trainees. Background check is required for this position.
