The OneDrive and SharePoint team is looking for a motivated and strong Principal Software Engineering Manager to be a part of this journey.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience
  • Prior experience with developing large high-volume services, with service-oriented development and cloud-based systems
  • 2+ Experience with implementing/managing security protocols as a provider
  • 5+ years of experience with OAuth, SSO, Cryptography, or Active Directory

  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to be adaptable and agile in development
  • Demonstrated experience as a technical lead or people manager
  • Demonstrated commitment to the success of others, as a leader in the team you will be expected to mentor and manage junior developers
  • Strong technical abilities, problem solving, design, rapid prototyping, coding, and debugging skills

Software Engineering M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $158,500 - $276,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $202,800 - $304,200 per year.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for an Engineering Manager who is passionate about building a great team and who puts people and culture at the forefront. Someone who is not afraid to dig into hard engineering problems to improve the core fundamentals of our systems, add critical and exciting new features, revolutionize how our engineers work day-to-day, and try new things like bringing the power of machine learning and statistical analysis at scale to solve these and other problems.
You will have an opportunity to work with peers across the company in Office, Azure, Microsoft365, and Research. You will guide a team of engineers, mentoring them through this journey and providing technical and architectural leadership as we evolve our scalable, distributed service.
