REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficiency in advanced prototyping tools (beyond Figma prototyping), adept at translating design specifications into tangible prototypes or functional code.
• Strong visual design skills for UI, particularly for websites and mobile apps.
• Ability to articulate and present a deep understanding of standard design principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including experience collaborating closely with engineering partners.
• Ability to thrive under tight deadline constraints.
• Capacity to understand technology issues and effectively communicate information.
• Proficiency in current and emerging web technologies and standard design software packages (e.g., Figma).

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

• C++ and general Web Dev experience
• Proto-typing abilities (that go beyond Figma – UI/UX design)
• Presentation skills
  Salary Range: CAD $80,000 - CAD $100,000 Annually - Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Product Designer

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The purpose of this team is to provide support for the Edge Browser team. It’s about design systems. Focusing on building/helping design team to block design into code. Need someone fluent in coding so they can communicate with engineers on how to make it usable code.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communicate clear perspectives on customer experiences and their underlying rationale using diverse visual storytelling techniques.
• Conduct audits of existing components and create specifications to align components with the design system.
• Develop web components in line with our design system guidelines, collaborating with design system designers for feedback.
• Actively represent the design system and collaborate with engineering and product teams to champion customer excellence.
• Create or implement prototypes, and assist with presentations. Collaborate with other design teams on shared initiatives
