In this role, the successful candidate will partner closely with key cross-functional teams to drive programs focused on transforming how we deliver people capacity for our new data centers in our EMEA region. As CO+I continues to accelerate and expand Microsoft’s datacenter footprint across new geographies, the People Capacity team, leads a cross-organizational team, that is focused on delivering all people infrastructure requirements across the globe to meet our business needs. Including ensuring that all localization requirements are addressed, driving an equitable, inclusive employee experience that enables CO+I growth.
This is a hands-on project management role and will suit those individuals who are passionate about detailed project management. We need those prepared and motivated to get involved and rely on initiative, tenacity and focus to get projects across the line, exceeding expectations. The ideal candidate is a team player who can think strategically while also being able to execute at a tactical level. You must be able to own and drive work independently, but not in isolation.
This role blends program and project management and delivery and business acumen. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of professional, program/project experience.
  • Significant Program/Project Management experience, preferably at a technology company with focus on project lifecycle management and implementation of industry program management methodologies
  • Proven record to drive to and achieve results in midst of ambiguity and across multiple organizations.
  • Possesses extensive experience in core Project Management skills including planning, scheduling, reporting, resource management, communications, risk management, dependencies, scope, time quality & budget.
  • Ability to think strategically, work effectively in ambiguous situations and respond favorably to change, execute effectively, work under deadline pressure and manage multiple projects.
  • High proficiency in verbal and written communication including professional presentation skills, having the ability to interact with diverse groups across multiple organizational levels including senior leaders.
  • High-performer – demonstrated ability to effectively manage, prioritize and drive results through others within a context of multiple competing priorities.
  • PMP Certification or equivalent project management experience
  • Executed high-quality localization projects within the budget boundaries and on time.
  • Working knowledge of localization processes and operational standards used in the industry.
  • Familiarity with file preparation techniques to optimize the localization process.
  • Competency in Project Management, Change Management, Analytical Problem Solving, Customer/Partner Relationships, Product & Technology Expertise, Strategic Insight
  • Proactive and solution-oriented when managing issues.
  • Excellent organization, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of professional experience
  • Experience working in datacenter or other critical infrastructure environments.
  • Experience communicating effectively across diverse cultures.

The ideal candidate possesses the following:

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree
  • Professional Program Management (PM) certification, PMP, PMI, Prince 2 or equivalent
  • Exceptional problem identification and problem resolution skills

Responsibilities:

As the EMEA Program Manager for People Capacity within the Global Capacity Delivery Program Management organization you will be responsible for working with numerous internal and external teams across the CO+I organization, including the Land Development team, Core Operations Functions teams, DC Operations, Azure, Human Resources, Global Talent Acquisition (recruiting), Finance, CELA (legal), and others who are needed to build the people infrastructure to work in new geographies where Microsoft datacenters are built to support the cloud.

  • Delivers multiple projects and manage delivery execution, drive predictable customer experiences with tangible outcomes and high quality.
  • Implement efficient and scalable end-to-end localization projects for multiple geos and diverse content types across the organization.
  • Manage relationships with localization vendors, alongside internal stakeholders, and final content reviewers to produce an efficient localization workflow that ensures content is well localized.
  • Drive localization process improvements and help bring awareness of localization best practices to the larger organization.
  • Drive simplification and automation to evolve processes, services, and solutions, to increase agility and efficiencies and lower costs. Refine methodology, tools, and templates for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor program milestones and internal/external dependencies that may impact the planning and deployment of item(s) within the portfolio.
  • Ensures program and project risks/issues are properly communicated to all stakeholders with correct owners and including mitigation and resolution plans.
  • Creates a supportive environment to where the project teams have visible, measurable, and repeatable processes for managing these risks.
  • Manages all schedules, ensuring all project milestones, deliverables, Go-lives, deployment dates etc., are met and in case of any variance, all stakeholders are informed with the relevant reasons for the same.
  • Maintain accurate status updates, capable of collecting, synthesizing, and publishing project and program status with regards to resources, schedule, stakeholder management, and features that influence project performance and completion.
  • Maintain cross-functional stakeholder engagement at multiple leadership levels, managing expectations, being a trusted advisor and delivering successful outcomes.
  • Actively engage in continuous learning, gathering and provide feedback on lessons learned, best practices, and innovations on process/procedures and tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Facilitate meetings that drive the rhythm of the business forward.
