Description:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other STEM field.
- Experience in a similar field of Design/Innovation, Research and Development, Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering.
- Experience with leading projects, programs or initiatives with continually increasing scope and impact.
- Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.).
As a TES Operations Engineer you will work with a team of Operations Engineers across various locations to manage the lifecycle of complex cross-functional projects. You are a customer obsessed leader that plays an integral role in planning and implementation of the facility network infrastructure including new builds, retrofits, expansions and program initiatives. Key competencies of this position include: insisting on the highest standards in order to meet schedule, budgetary, safety and quality targets; deep diving the systems’ designs and performance, utilizing your technical expertise in material-handling systems and driving optimal solutions for the European transportation network; and inventing and simplifying solutions that allow for improved processes and standardization. You are looked to as authority for risk analysis and problem solving.

The role can be based at our corporate offices in Luxembourg, Germany, Spain, France, UK or Poland with 70% of time traveling either domestically or to other EMEA countries.
Key job responsibilities
- Material Handling Equipment (MHE) project budget and schedule monitoring
- MHE proposal review with EPS/WWE
- Manage site access and readiness to facilitate MHE installation
- On-site resolution of clashes with the MHE
- Coordination and collaboration with other teams to drive MHE completion: Construction, Reliability & Maintenance, Safety, Startup, IT, Physical Security, Launch, etc.
- Commissioning and qualification process for MHE
- Resolution of punch list items to drive the final acceptance of the system
- Final MHE handover to Operations and site teams
- Support Operations teams with use of the MHE system
- Manage change management process with MHE vendors and Amazon stakeholders
- MHE quality assurance and schedule management
- Estimated 70% travel on average for the role (that is, 3-4 days most weeks)
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Luxembourg, LUX
- Experience with design and/or implementation of automation solutions such as Conveyors, Sorters, high speed manufacturing, packaging and palletizing lines, AGVs and Robotic work cells.
- Operations Management or Distribution Center experience with direct management or responsibility for material handling, automation, or other technical projects.
- Vendor management skills such as evaluating supply chain management, change requests, and resource management.
- Experience with Six Sigma, TPM and/or Lean Manufacturing.
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet programs.
- German, French, Polish, Arabic are considered preferred qualification
