Our Total Asset Protection solutions and services include Corrosion management; Blasting, painting and remediation of concrete and steel structures; Lining and waterproofing; Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) Structural Strengthening; Cathodic Protection (CP); and Pipeline Electrical Hazard Assessments.
Eptec delivers across a diverse range of industry sectors, including naval, defence, marine, transport and infrastructure. Recent projects of the Eptec Group include Warragamba Dam Pipeline, Brisbane X-River Rail, Sydney Metro Trains, Old Murray Bridge, Hobart Class Air Warfare Destroyers (AWD’s), Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPV’s) and the previous four Collins Class Submarine Full Cycle Dockings (FCD’s) in SA.
KEY REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
- Live and role model Eptec’s Zero Harm Values – drive a safety culture and collaborative team environment.
- Monitoring and managing all project execution requirements and timelines.
- Appropriate allocation of project resources.
- Managing the client relationship.
- Maintaining cost levels and monitoring budgets.
- Liaise with internal departments and suppliers, including labour suppliers.
- Help to effectively meet and manage client expectations, and to continue to strengthen relationships.
- Prepare documentation including project plans, Gantt charts and specifications for projects.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Significant Project management experience is desirable (gained from Asset Remediation, Infrastructure or Defense environment).
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with all stakeholders including clients, consultants and operational staff alike.
- High level business and commercial acumen
- NACE Coating Inspector Program Level 1 or 2 certified, highly desirable.
- Possess technical knowledge in coatings, surface preparation, management of hazardous substances and application processes.
- Familiar with Quality systems - progressing, ITPs, QA/QC liaison.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office (excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc).
- Work with integrity and dedication to forge strong relationships.
Responsibilities:
Eptec has been awarded the blast and paint contract for the next two Collins Class Submarine (FCD)’s in Adelaide. This is an incredible chance to be part of an Australian Defence project that is crucial to maintaining our nation’s defense assets.
We are currently on the lookout for a confident Project Manager to join our Defence Solutions team based out of our ASC North office, Osborne, SA. In this role, you will be responsible for providing effective leadership and ensuring the successful delivery of various projects, with a particular focus on safety, quality, operations, finance, and customer satisfaction.
