About the role:
This is a contract position that runs for an initial 12-month period. This pivotal position involves leading the execution and successful delivery of the digital acceleration program in New Zealand. You’ll collaborate closely with local stakeholders, governmental bodies, finance, legal, and other supporting functions to ensure seamless program execution.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the established digitization program from an execution standpoint, encompassing end-to-end project management and management of the Program Budget.
  • Planning and executing projects focused on strategic growth areas and white spaces to cultivate new revenue opportunities, particularly in sectors such as Education, Health, Transport, Cyber Security, SME & Sustainability.
  • Elevating the organization’s reputation at the country level through the success stories of projects and active engagement within the local community.
  • Cultivating enduring relationships and fostering mindshare with Government entities, consultants, partners, and system integrators.
  • Overseeing the complete lifecycle of projects, from initiation to benefit realization, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Driving budget planning and management across various investment areas in alignment with leadership team objectives.
  • Providing detailed execution reports for all investment projects, focusing on investment, ROI, and project progress.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Formal Project Management training (PMP, Prince2, Agile, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Studies/Information Systems/Software Engineering or related fields.
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting and Finance or relevant qualifications.
  • Technically proficient with a solid understanding of PM principles, ideally with experience in government or consulting.
  • Technical ability in data analysis and dashboard creation (BI systems such as PowerBI).
  • Experience administering SharePoint and other contemporary PM tools, along with advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office Suite.
  • Previous PMO experience is highly desirable.
