Our Inspection and Monitoring Technologies Branch is looking for a R&D Scientist/Engineer

Literature and operational experience reviews, research and development of new NDE technology, deployment of existing NDE technology working under the supervision of more experienced staff.

• Proposal initiation, preparing work plans, job hazard assessments, project management, progress reporting, and writing of reports and procedures.
• Designing and performing specialized tests including design and construction of experimental testing apparatus and data acquisition equipment.
• Travel to reactor sites for inspection campaigns as a Nuclear Energy Worker
• Other duties as assigned by your manager

The work involves application of non-destructive evaluation (NDE) technology.

This position may entail work on multiple projects each year, and may require the incumbent to contribute in many or all of the following capacities:

• Understanding customers’ needs and formulating project goals and outcomes.
