Description:
Evergreen Services Group is a San Francisco based holding company that acquires and operates B2B services companies across North America. Since its founding in late 2017, Evergreen has completed 80+ acquisitions across Managed IT Services, Cybersecurity, Financial Software and Government Services. We are driven by a people first mission to marry capital allocation with inspired operations, thus creating North America’s best home for businesses.
The Evergreen holding company team is comprised of 35+ professionals based in San Francisco who are focused on capital allocation, M&A, executive level hiring, strategic board leadership, and finance and accounting. Evergreen is a uniquely long-term oriented holding company that seeks to hold and grow businesses indefinitely rather than follow the 5-7 year holding period of a typical private equity fund. This allows us to take a truly long-term view on performance and people. Evergreen is backed by Alpine Investors, a leading private equity firm focused on the services and software industries with $16B+ in AUM.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Redwood operating associate, you will work closely with our executive team to help us solve our biggest challenges. You will get exposure to what it’s like to run one of our companies, manage an expanding holding company, and grow a business via acquisition.
Our goal is to hire successful associates who can deliver results and hit the ground running post-graduation. As a Redwood operating associate, you will take on a high-impact role in one of our businesses or with our holding company team. Your responsibilities will include improving day-to-day operations, driving strategy and growth, contributing to company vision, and having responsibility for the financial performance of the business.
Our operating associates work closely with, learn from, and share their perspectives with the group of peer associates across our businesses via formal events and ad-hoc conversations. Your peers will include ambitious professionals navigating their first few years as a senior executive, entrepreneurs who have built a business over decades, and seasoned managers with deep industry and functional expertise.
We are looking for smart, motivated individuals who are looking to “roll up their sleeves” and are hungry to make an impact by stewarding a business over the long-term. We have had tremendous success in empowering leaders early in their career and giving them more responsibility than others would be comfortable with.
