EDUCATION

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, operations, or supply chain management.
  • Master’s degree in business administration or engineering. (Nice to have).
  • At least 8 years of work experience in direct sourcing, preferably in mechanics and/or electronics.
  • High level of English language proficiency (verbal and written).

EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent category-specific sourcing and category management skills in key spend portfolios in Direct (mechanical and/or electronics).
  • Expert understanding of multi-step strategic sourcing processes and strategies.
  • Sourcing expert with strong experience with sourcing processes, supplier management, and contract negotiations.
  • Experience leading technical projects in a matrixed environment.
  • Project management skills and capabilities (Gantt charts, dashboards, key results, case development).
  • Excellent communication proficiencies for structuring ideas clearly and concisely with technical and functional partners at various levels of the organization.
  • Influential business leader with a proven record in establishing relationships across functions.
  • Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail aligned with high standards of quality and excellence.
  • Experience in a continuous improvement environment with a track record of achieving significant year over year results.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of sourcing activities to support category strategy implementation for medium- to high-degree complexity initiatives.
  • Liaise with internal customers and category owners to ensure supplier program operations meet expectations.
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking for strategic transactions.
  • Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms for assigned sourcing initiatives.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly gathered, documented, and translated to RFX and contracts as appropriate.
  • Research potential vendors and develop RFX for sourcing initiatives assigned.
  • Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing, delivering and recording annual P&L savings.
  • Track and report key functional metrics for the Procurement Center of Excellence and the category.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external team members. Collaborate with other teams to achieve common goals and ensure effective cross-functional communication.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior sourcing specialists on category-specific requirements and sourcing in general.
