POSITION SUMMARY

The External Supply Senior Director will be responsible for managing critical custom raw materials and drug product supply, analytical testing, and other CMC projects from CDMOs. This position is based in Santa Monica, CA and reports to the VP of Supply Chain.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

Develop advanced concepts, techniques, and standards. Develop new applications based on professional principles and theories.

  • Works continuously under consultative direction toward long-range goals and objectives that have a significant impact on the organization.
  • Decisions often affect the financial, employee, or public relations posture of the organization.
  • Assignments are often self-initiated with no direct supervision.
  • Serves as prime consultant and external spokesperson for the organization on highly significant matters relating to policies, programs, capabilities, and long- range goals and objectives.
  • Determines organizational objectives and interprets company policies. Completed work is reviewed, from a relatively long-term perspective, for desired results.
  • Establishes organizational policies in a major segment of the company. Interprets, executes, and recommends modifications to company-wide policies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of fourteen (14) years with BS/BA, or minimum of twelve (12) years with MS/MA or MBA, or a minimum of ten (10) years with PhD.
  • 10 plus years in supply chain management within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Experience in CMC, process development, and/or manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience in Cell and Gene therapy and CDMO management preferred.

    The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Santa Monica, CA is $205,000 to $241,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc.
