Description:

Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on, strategic product leader, who can lead and execute a vision for our scalable, configurable, Investment Data Management Cloud platform. This role will primarily focus on the data platform required for all of Clearwater’s products, while also contributing to our global data management strategy. You will also play a critical role in scaling our platform across asset classes and industries, creating a highly configurable data platform that powers all our analytical and AI products.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional with experience building data pipelines and analytical financial technology software. In close collaboration with Sales, Engineering, Operations and Services teams you will strategically implement the high-level road map for our foundational data layer and enable the development of multiple product lines.
You will report to the Chief Product Officer and will be responsible for defining market problems, developing a short- and long-term product strategy, mentor product managers and convert strategy into product deliverables and releases.
Responsibilities:

Leadership:

  • Develop a comprehensive security, pricing and client master data management strategy and long-term roadmap with short term prioritization.
  • Lead a team of product managers and guide their product roadmaps to align with strategy.
  • Drive roadmap execution by partnering with Engineering leaders and ensure high quality releases.
  • Showcase internal and external thought leadership in all things related to investment data management at technical and functional forums.
  • Develop, and manage to success metrics and present outcomes, insights, and continuous improvement plans to executive leadership team.

Business Growth:

  • Evaluate data sources dependencies, data rights management, ingestion patterns and data persistence to optimize for current and future client needs.
  • Assess Clearwater data strategy fit by market, segments and use cases, and build comprehensive roadmap to address capability gaps that drive revenue growth.
  • Continuously evaluate current platform and build a vision for a highly scalable, automated, and resilient data platform

Client Success:

  • Support clients go-lives, manage client escalations and ensure SLAs.
  • Lead client design partner discussions on data management challenges and respond with solutions and roadmap items.

Product Innovation:

  • Work with technology and executive leadership to create multiyear, annual, and quarterly roadmaps and oversee their execution.
  • Manage the product lifecycle, ensuring that products are delivered to the required quality standards.
  • Partner with functional product leaders, market principals and at various levels across the organization, establish and maintain outstanding communication, and build/maintain collaborative relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to build coherent narrative, explain technical and product priorities and convince leaders of your vision and strategy are critical to long term success of this role.
  • Stay abreast of competitive, data technologies, and market dynamics and apply insights to the company’s product strategy and execution.

What we look for:

  • 15+ years of experience in data management platforms in enterprise software with a minimum of 5 years in a product management leadership role leading PM team of 5 and above.
  • At least 5 years of experience across more than one of these areas is required: master data management (especially finance domain), ETL/ELT, data integration, data warehousing, lake houses, and streaming data.
  • Demonstrated ability to build a scalable, configurable enterprise data platform on the cloud, deployed across industries and geographies, migration to a componentized architecture, and capable of handling large amounts of data with low latency.
  • Proven ability to manage complex data pipelines and integration with high volumes, variety, velocity and veracity.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills and write product strategy papers and create narrative decks.
  • Commitment towards superior internal and external customer experience.
  • Strong team leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills, with a desire to build exceptional products and deliver successful business outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, or other relevant technical discipline.

Highly Preferred Experiences:

  • Experience in the financial industry particularly in investment data such as IBORs along with security and pricing master.
  • Expertise in typical financial data sources like custodial, market, pricing and client provided custom data.
  • Experience working in the Insurance and Asset Management industry.
  • Knowledge and experience with end-to-end application and systems development

Compensation Range: $220,000/YR-$260,000/YR + Bonus. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
